In 2012, the Uganda National Bureau of Statistics revealed that the share of unemployed young people among the total unemployed persons in the country was 64%. Given the rapid growth of the Uganda population-three-quarters of the population are below the age of 30 years-coupled with the fact that the youth are getting better educated through higher access to primary and secondary education, a stronger focus on job creation for this cohort of people cannot be overemphasized.
At the T.A-CRUSADE- UGANDA’s Training Centre in Nakiwaate Village- Nabbaale Sub County, Mukono District, vulnerable rural youths and women who would not be able to study without financial support are trained in Literacy, Vocational and Micro-entrepreneurial Skills that will enable them to rise out of poverty, provide for their families’ health and well-being as well as
